I grew up learning to fly with my dad who was my flight instructor from my Private, Instrument, through Commercial ratings. I did most of my training in Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. I obtained my CFI-A, and CFI-I through American Flyers in Addison, Tx and started as a flight instructor at Mesquite, TX. Professional goals are to develop as a flight instructor and eventually make the airlines. My teaching style is to help a student understand the basics of aviation and most importantly to have fun as they learn to fly.

Flight Instructor: CFI
CFI, CFII, MEI, Mountain, Tailwheel, Seaplane

Frank’s passion for aviation began at a young age when his Uncle took him for his first flight in a small airplane. Among the many great aspects of flying some of Frank’s favorites are the freedom, accessibility, and challenges present in every flight. Frank believes one of the most rewarding things about instructing is watching students work hard at a skill and then one day seeing the look in their eyes when it all comes together and they get it. Frank likes to teach by being patient and building the students understanding and skill to create a confident, competent pilot.

Flight Instructor: CFI/CFII/MEI, Mountain and Tailwheel Instruction
Commercial, ASES, ASEL, AMEL
CFI, CFII, MEI, Mountain, Tailwheel

Tim Sale has been flying in the Rockies for almost 40 years. His first mountain experience was in a Piper J-3 Cub. The J-3 Cub is grossly underpowered and flying one in the mountains takes a lot of skill. Tim’s students come from all over the USA and Canada to learn how to fly in the Rockies. His approach is to teach pilots how to safely fly in the mountains, not just over them. Tim will develop your skills on how to extract the maximum performance from your aircraft and use the terrain conditions in the mountains to their greatest extent.

Flight Instructor: CFI & CFII

As long as I can remember I have been interested in flying. As a kid, my dad would take me to watch planes at the old Stapleton Airport. Although my dad is not into aviation himself, I know he is the reason I am because of that. I attended Metropolitan State University of Denver and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Aviation technology, meanwhile doing my flight training at the same time at Rocky Mountain Metro Airport. In June 2016 I obtained my CFI and CFII, and have been enjoying instructing since being brought on at Front Range Flight School. I have always dreamed of becoming an airline pilot one day, so I’m excited to see where my career takes me from here!
